Fishing for something to do with your children? Come on out and join us that Saturday. Lunch will be provided to all of the registered youngsters. There will be games galore and awards too . The way to win is to just show up. This event is free of charge to all children ages 0-16 who participate and their adult assistant. This event will expose youngsters under the age of 16 to the excitement of fishing in a fun , educational and safe, family oriented environment. Now there is nothing fishy about any of that.

Registration forms will be located at Surf City Ocean Pier starting Friday, June 10th 2011. * Any child ages 5-16 who Pre-register is also eligible for the "Best fish Story" Contest. Stories will need to be submitted by 6pm on Monday June 27th and written by the child to qualify. The Story needs to include the child's name and age. Stories should be about my Favorite sea creature and why.

The first 150 children who Pre-Register will receive a T-shirt.

King Tournament
at the SCP
July 8th - August 7th 2011
$25 entry fee
$200* cash prize for Largest King caught
and $100* for the Second Largest King caught

Registration begins Saturday June 25th.
Contestants may join at any time During the Tournament.

*We must have a minimum of 12 participants to pay out First and Second place as advertised.
If there are less than 12 participants prize money will we split according to money collected.
Contestants must be registered in the Tournament prior to catching King Mackerels for the fish to Qualify.
Only King Mackerels caught between sunrise on July 9th and Sunset on August 8th 2010 will be considered.
If no Kings are caught in this time frame the Prize money will roll over and be doubled the next year.

It is the responsibility of all king fisherman to do their part and work together to land all fish hung.
Any Contestant found to be of poor sportsmanship by the Pierhouse will be disqualified from this tournament.

The Awards presentation will be held on Sunday in August at 2pm following the 7th Annual Mike Martin Tournament Awards.

The awards presentation for this tournament and the
King tournament will be on Sunday at 2pm

$100 1st place and $50 2nd place prize will be awarded in the following nine categories:





Spanish, Puppy Drum, Spot
Bluefish, Black Drum, Va. Mullet
Sheepshead, Flounder, Pompano

A Grand Prize of $500 will be awarded for
the Largest Speckled Trout
*Providing we can catch and keep them in August*

Entry Fee: $5 per category or $40 for all Ten
First 100 people who pre-register for all 10 categories will receive a free t-shirt

Registration starts Friday July 22nd
*There will be NO KING fishing this weekend.


A 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prize will be awarded in the Children's Division
for the largest three fish caught of any kind
for children 12 and under.
Children's Fee $10
