6/1.....The weather is nice ....the wind isn't bad.....and the fish really haven't been biting....starting to hear of some spanish being caught on diamond jigs this afternoon its about 6 pm now......tomorrow is just another day away.....

6/4......Can someone turn off this wind .....!! At least with the wind it doesn't feel so hot and humid....the temps are in the upper 80's today early morning we had spanish and blues again ...so it wasn't a bad day fishing....

I also need to pass on to you that Nick Doggett passed away early this afternoon at his home....Many of you know he loved to fish and could be found daily out here on the pier fishing for whatever may be in season...that is exactly what he did out here earlier today doing what he enjoyed....He caught fish and shared a blue with one of the king fisherman....Many people enjoyed fishing with Nick and he will be Greatly missed...Our thoughts and Prayers Go out to Ms. Mary and the rest of their family...

June 4th 2008

As I have more details I will pass them on to you...

6/8.....The weekend has been hot and humid....even the fish have taken off for cooler waters....there might still be a few around...a little more spanish today than there had been .....still a few blues.....there has even been a few mullet at night off bottom rigs.....not alot to brag about.... fishing is slow....plenty of good friends around come on out and share a fish story.....

The Doggett family will be having a Private Family Service the date has yet to be announced....

6/11.....ok ok....I hear ya....time for a fishing report....I figured if I didn't give you one you might come out and visit me.....the dog days of summer have started early....not many are venturing out far or for long.....and I actually enjoy chatting with you all from time to time.....so here is the report....there was a small run of spots this morning from what they tell me and a few scattered spots through out the day.....the spanish and blues didn't run as hard early this morning but they did manage to catch a few and again this afternoon....don't forget to add in the occasional mullet and pompano.....so its a healthy mixed bag of fish....just to blessed hot to try for long......but come on out and try anyway....

6/16.....I keep thinking something is gonna happen and change so that I can update this place.....We had one king caught on Saturday early a 15 lb king.....still picking up some spanish and blues early in the mornings and late in the evenings......starting to see a few more bottom fish...still nothing to get to over excited about....I have a mixed bad ...va. mullet, spots, black drums, pompano, flounder, and lots of lizard fish and sea robins....not really anything to brag about....but at least life is interesting .....the weather has been nice even if its a little hot....had some rain yesterday and alot of wind this afternoon....overall just nice to be down at the beach....

6/23....Ok me and the kids went fishing today.....and we caught alot of pinfish.....and a few blues.....now earlier in the day they caught spanish and blues mostly on diamond jigs.....have seen a mixed bag lately with flounder, trout, spots, mullet, lots of sea robins, lizard fish, ....you are likely to see almost anything ....just not a whole lot of any one thing.....we ended up with a bag full of spanish and blues and had a great dinner....the weather is cloudy and overcast ....calling for a chance of rain but nice really....come on out and try your luck.....

6/24.....Another hot one out there....still a few spanish and blues....managed to land two kings today a 15 lb one and a 27 lb one both caught by Tim Willard....had a small school of Mahi swim through the baits today....seen some lookdown fish....a black bass...pompano...spots....mullet....lizard fish.....still not alot of anything.....the sun is hot bring an umbrella and sunscreen....

6/30....Another week has come and gone...and in a few days its going to be the 4th of July.....when exactly did that happen....Wasn't it Easter just last month?......Its hot and when its not the wind is blowing a gale......still seeing a little bit of everything....and still nothing to brag about.....kinda just what you would expect out of the summer time fishing.....did weigh in one nice va. mullet tonight and Nick wanted me to post his picture so mom and dad could see how much fun he's having with Grandma and Grandpa....

7/6.....Happy 4th of July.....the weekend has been busy....lots of beachgoers and even fisherman.....the fisherman haven't been to disappointed there has been a big variety of fish showing up lately.....walked out last night and both sinks were busy with fisherman cleaning spots and mullets.....seen flounder and even some blues and spanish....the wind has been a hit a miss lately....been blowing more than its not lately...that really hasn't been helping much.....The weather people seem to be calling for a chance of rain about everyday this coming week....but you know how it is at the beach ....we are just as likely not to get it too.....Its just nice to be at the beach.....come on down.....

7/10....Fishing has been lousy this week....its been hot and when its not its raining.....the water is muddy....last night the spots, mullets and even flounder put in an appearance....this morning was slow....but since the rain has started ...hearing that the blues and spots are showing up some.....Now keep in mind I didn't say the blues were very big .....but at least things are trying to get better....still calling for a chance of rain for the weekend.....The crowd has thinned out since the holiday is over....now is the time to come an enjoy the pier and beach.....

7/18.....Another long week....alot of rain early on this week ....finally some decent weather ....but still not really seeing alot of fish....more black drum are finally showing up or they are stealing the fleas the sheepshead fisherman's are using for bait....depending on how you look at it....saw a number of speckled trout and angelfish this past week ....some rather nice sized ones of both ...been quiet out on the end.... finally saw a little action with a 13 lb Barracuda that Garrison caught yesterday....just that time of year....still seeing just a little bit of all of it....come on out and try your luck....
