Latest News & What's Currently Biting

Hello friends and Pier Family,

There will be some new changes coming in 2024.  Starting with Edwin’s retirement.  After almost 50 years of being actively involved in everyday operations and decision making he has decided to step back and Garrison will now take his place.  Maybe he will be able to enjoy his new grandson and fishing for a change.

You will also see an increase in Daily and Season Passes in the 2024 Fishing Season.  We have tried to keep costs down but the reality is everything is going up including the cost of maintenance, lumber, insurance, deductibles and taxes.  The necessary evils of running a business.

This will be the first increase in Daily passes in over ten years.  Daily passes will now be $12 a fishing rod.  This fee also applies to all cast nets and crab traps.  Season Bottom Passes will now be $300.  This is the equivalent of fishing with us 12.5 times with two rods.  If you purchase your season pass on or before November 30th you can save $25 on your pass.  You will still receive a parking pass and a key to the gate.  You may begin using the pass on December 1st and fish the winter months (December-mid March) during the daylight hours only.  No one is allowed on the Pier after dark or before daylight.

We have also decided not to sell Season King Passes.  King passes will be available for purchase on a daily basis and will be limited to the first 25 who show up.  Anyone with a Season Bottom Pass will be able to add additional rod(s) for an additional fee if they wish to King Fish for the day.

As with every year all carts, coolers and other equipment needs to be removed from the downstairs area.  Anything left will be considered abandoned property and disposed of accordingly.  We will only be renting the front half of the space downstairs for storage in the 2024 season, please see Vinita or Garrison to have your name added to the list if you are interested.  Spaces will be assigned and be available for use in mid March.
