March 27th....Yes we opened Yesterday....and yes the first Va mullet was caught about 6:45 am....caught again by Daniel Lee.....(it was about 6in long wiggling and released ...pictures coming) ....The morning started off with alot of rain but about a quarter till 6am it quit and there was a decent showing of people so the rain didn't even keep everyone away. There were a few other mullet caught a few were actually a nice size.....couple of blowfish also....now yesterday was nice but windy....today has just been cold and breezy.....still hearing of those blowfish and sharks and skates the typical stuff for this time of year....

The weekend has been busy we have had a birthday party to take care of also....Garrison is now a "Teenager".....so today we have had about 10 kids running around should have been here....it was fun to watch and see....Happy Birthday Garrison....

April 1st.....Almost open for a full week now.....Cant say that the fishing is much better yet....more people are going out so hearing of more fish....just not hearing of a lot of fish yet....still the usual suspects....blowfish...va. mullet and sharks and skates.....starting to hear of a few small trout also.....the local weather is saying the water temp is running about 55 degrees right now...still a bit cool....if we keep having the beautiful days it wont take long for the water temp to warm up and more fish to start to show....

People are starting to show up for the holiday weekend....the beach looked more like the middle of July today rather than the first of April....with one exception all the "white" bodies....that are now walking around with that unmistakable red "glow".....things are finally coming together ....the grill has opened now and some of the familiar staff faces are back behind the counter.....so I'm going to be one of those white bodies on the beach with the red glow shortly.....(my luck my free day will be the day it rains...) so come on down and celebrate the Easter Holiday/Spring Break with us....

April 10th....the Weather has turned cooler but the days are still nice.....seeing more and more fish around lately....The Va. Mullet bite has gotten better and even weighted in one Black Drum....couple nights this past week you could have filled your cooler up....

Looks like all the kids will be back in School on Monday and spring break will be over for most everyone now....whooo hooo....might get a little extra work done now....

things are really coming together at the pier...lots of new things to see...new rods and reels for you to check out....even have a pair of sunglasses you are just gonna want to have....did I mention they have about 4 hours of audio and video record time built in with a slot to add a memory card for extra record time....have to stop by and ask for a demo....

Aril 11th....Still kinda cool and a little breezy....but the sun is shinning and a few fish are biting....Alot quieter around here today....seems spring break has come to an end....hearing of lots of cars headed west on 40 ......the weather looks good for the coming week....should be promising for fish....come on down....I have updated a few of the different pages adding some newer pictures and what not....looks like my next big projects to get done will be the Tournaments in July and August....if anyone is interested in the planning of the tournaments drop me an email

April 14th...The Fish are Biting....The Fish are Biting.....Did you Hear the Fish are Biting!!!.....there is hardly anyone here....but those here are catching mullet and saw blues this afternoon.....

April 16th....Fish are still Biting......see for yourself....even saw some small spots today too...

April 21st.....Caught lots and lots of Blues today....started first thing this morning....on plugs.....then again this afternoon....several limited out....and didn't have a lot of experience plugging ........been a few mullet along the way....weather was a little wet at times but the fish didn't seem to mind....tonight is calm and cool.....waiting for the mullet bite to pick up tonight like last night...they bit hard between 9:30pm and 1am....where were you....I was home too......try not to get left out....the weekend forecast looks good for mullet....calling for a SW wind for Saturday....but you know how thing can change....try not to sleep through this one if you want some mullet.....

April 27th.....still catching blues and mullet....hear tell they finally caught a spanish on the island today.....if I had someone plugging might have seen one here today too.....still windy...had a thunderstorm this afternoon....and look what was left behind......
