Fishing for something to do with your children? This event is scheduled for every Thursday, in July. Fishing will start at 8am and end at Noon. Lunch will be provided to all participants. The way to win is to just show up. This event is free of charge to all children ages 0-16 who participate and their adult 'assistant'. Fishing prizes will be awarded for children in two age groups 6-10 and 11-16. With honorable mentions for those 0-5. This event will expose youngsters 16 and younger to the excitement of fishing in a fun, educational and safe, family oriented environment. Now how about that for a fun time for the entire family?!
#ReelKidsFish Surf City Pier
Our Annual Children's Fishing Competition and Celebration that we have hosted for more than ten years had to be cancelled for the past couple of years due to Covid and the addition of paid parking in our area. We know that our parking lot can not accommodate all of our kids on just one day, especially if that day is the 4th of July. So in everyone's best interest we will spread it out throughout the month of July, and maybe others who could not participate in the past now can. With all that being said I am excited to announce we are finalizing the plans for our #ReelKidsFish at #SurfCityPier month-long event. Instead of just one day we will host the children every Thursday in the month of July. This is open to all children near and far 16 and younger. There is no registration required, but is helpful.
As we continue to strive to expand our program and offerings to the children in and around our community. We hope that you will be able to take part in one or more of the many exciting events that we are offering this year and experience firsthand the pride we take in supporting our cause. It is our mission to expose youngsters under the age of 16 to the excitement of fishing in a fun, educational and safe family oriented environment.
Over the years we have been fortunate enough to offer all the children free lunch and an Event t-shirt in addition to other fabulous gifts and prizes that have been donated from area businesses, private individuals, and various fishing wholesale distributors. This year looks to be even bigger and better than in years past.
