Sept 26....Fish are still biting really only late at night...not really seeing much of anything to brag about during the daylight hours recently.....other than the occasional flounder and pompano and false albacore.....Terry swears he weighted in one flounder today that was just shy of 5lbs....but the guy ran off before he could get a picture......seeing a few spots and mullet after dark....not really hearing anything from the drums.....maybe soon.....the weekend was good weather wise....and ok fish wise...if you could stay awake and wait for them......lots of people around.....here are a few pics from the weekend that I managed to snag for you......

Oct 1st......The rain has stopped and the fish are biting......been trying to get the pictures uploaded but between the phone and the people been kinda hard ....but here they are this is just pictures from this afternoon......

Oct 3rd.....The weekend is over but the fish are still biting....not as well as it has been but then again I think it depends on where you are on the pier.....they have caught 2 kings and lots of puppy drum, blues and trout .....in addition the spots and pompano that we have been catching.....

Oct 4th.....Fish are biting on the South Side of the Pier....go figure.....Loggerhead Inn is running a special for the month of October for those fishing here and staying there...so give them a call (910)328-3691 ask them about the details.....

Oct 10th....Looking more like Aug than Oct out there.....the air is warm if not hot at times.......water is beautiful....calm and clear.....and well the fish just aren't biting in those conditions.....we are still seeing a few pompano and blues.....and after dark we even see a few spots and mullet....kinda depends on the night ......the nights are cooler but ....the wind is still not blowing a NE to make a positive difference......eventually thing will change......

Billie with a 47 lb king and ......Augie with a 21 lb king.....

Oct 11th....Caught 3 more kings today ....seen one of these and one of those today.....not a great day for bottom fishing.....still kinda warm out there

Oct 19th.........The Wind is out of the South West....still not much going on.....we did see a few flounder and pompano today and one rather nice puppy drum.....caught only one king today and one king on Sunday.....

Oct 25.....I keep thinking tomorrow is going to be the day that the fish are going to bite and that I will have something to update.....and then its not....and then a week goes by.....and there really isn't anything to tell you about.....I'm not sure which is worse updating daily and telling you nothing is going on or waiting a few days and still telling you nothing is going on....the days are beautiful and sunny....the water is calm....out of the south west......

The only thing going on lately are the flounder.....some are really nice too.....there are the occasional pompano and spadefish.....sometimes we see a few mullet and the stray spot at night.....sounds alot like the summertime fishing reports don't it......one day it will get cold and the wind will come out of the NE.......right?
