Saturday, March th The Pier re-opens for the Season. The first Va. Mullet caught wins a Season Fishing Pass. For those that have participated before please read carefully as the process has changed. The pier will open the tackle shop at 5am so that everyone will have a chance to buy bait, tackle and fishing passes if needed. The gates will open at 6am and everyone in line will have a chance to find a fishing spot. No one is allowed to begin fishing until you are signaled to do so. This gives everyone including those who may have mobility issues a chance to participate fairly. Once you have been given the signal to start fishing, the first person to catch a Virginia Mullet will win a 2023 Season Fishing Pass. The largest Virginia mullet caught on this day will also win a prize, so be sure to weigh them in. Please note we will have staff on the pier to monitor and help keep it fun and fair for all. . |

Monday, November 11th Veterans Day. Veterans Fish FREE on Saturday, November 11th. You will need to bring some type of identification. Limit of one fishing rod. There will be one FREE meal provided to all our Veterans. We will have a contest and prizes that day for the largest three fish caught and weighed in for our veterans along with door prizes given away every half hour. Look for other fun activities and even a raffle happening that day...all active and past military are invited to attend. Should be some fun stuff for spouses also so bring them along.
