Ahoy Community Partners and Friends,
#ReelKidsFish has been making waves—right out on the fishing pier—casting smiles, teaching young anglers, and creating memories of unforgettable first catches to kids in and around our community. And this July, we’re ready to do it once again! This has become an annual tradition for many over the years.
Join us every Thursday in July from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM as the pier transforms into a pirate’s playground for this year’s theme: “Pirates with a Purpose.” 🏴☠️ what should be a fun, and positive celebration that teaches children about basic fishing, safety, pier etiquette, and respect for nature.
Our focus is simple but powerful—spreading positivity. In a world where negativity can creep in, we’re creating a space where kids are encouraged, supported, and celebrated. We believe real change starts with us—through the example we set with our actions, attitudes, and the way we lift each other up.
Our mission is to introduce children under 16 to the excitement of fishing in a fun, educational, and safe, family-oriented environment—right over the water, where the magic happens. Whether it’s their first time casting a line or they’re already hooked, each child leaves with new skills, big smiles, and their very own event T-shirt to remember the day.
Why it matters- We believe positivity spreads when adults model it. Your time, funds, or donated gear directly create memorable, confidence-building experiences for local & visiting kids and reinforce the message that small acts of leadership and kindness change communities.
But even the best pirate crews need a strong team…
We’re currently looking for:
⚓ Volunteers to help guide young anglers and keep things running smoothly on the pier
⚓ Monetary donations to help cover event costs
⚓ Goods and supplies such as fishing gear, snacks, or kid-friendly giveaways
As a thank-you for your support:
💰 Donations of $200 or more will have your logo featured on the children’s event T-shirt
💰 Donations of $100 or more will have your name or business proudly listed on the shirt
Your support helps us turn the fishing pier into a place where confidence grows, friendships form, and positive memories are made—one cast at a time.
Ready to come aboard? Please contact me at (910)540-4012 or at [email protected] to sign up volunteers, arrange donations, or discuss sponsorships. To ensure logo placement on T-shirts, we kindly request commitments by early June.
Thank you for helping us make this tradition stronger every year. Together we’ll make waves of positivity and give children a summer they’ll never forget.
With gratitude and a hearty “Aye!”,
